Illinois has a long tradition of turkey hunting and has been a favorite among hunters that have visited Timberland. At Timberland we hunt a mixture of timber, pasture, & crop fields. During your hunt, you may be hunting many of these different areas. We have an excellent population of free ranging “Eastern” wild turkeys.

You may select from a guided hunt where you will be one-on-one with one of our very experienced & qualified guides, or you may select a self guided hunt where you will be assigned an area or property that has been pre scouted by our guides. Our mission is to provide you the most optimal opportunity to harvest one of these most impressive game birds. Most “Eastern” mature gobblers will weigh between 20-25 lbs., have ¾-1 inch spurs, & will have 9-12 inch beards.
